Hotel Policies

Firearms Policy

The safety and security of our guests and associates is of utmost importance to Hyatt.

This policy is designed for the protection of our guests and associates, and pertains to the presence of firearms on hotel premises.

Hyatt recognizes that guests may legally possess firearms for a variety of legitimate purposes.

This policy is intended to create a safe environment for all guests and visitors by providing appropriate guidance over the custody of firearms on our premises.

The Open Carry of Firearms on Hyatt private property is prohibited, regardless of State or local authorities

Hotel premises are private property. Guests of a Hyatt hotel who lawfully are permitted to possess a firearm, may bring such firearm onto hotel premises for storage purposes only. Any Hotel Guest who is in possession of a firearm on hotel premises is personally responsible for abiding by all applicable federal, state, and local laws with respect to firearms, in the jurisdiction where the hotel is located and ensuring that:

  • All handguns, firearms and ammunition must be transported into and out of hotel property secured in a locked, hard-sided firearm container provided by the guest
  • The firearm is securely safeguarded at all times in a guest room or personal vehicle (except when transporting the firearm into or out of the hotel)

Guests who fail to abide by this policy may be asked to leave the hotel premises. A blanket exception to the restrictions described in this policy statement applies only to law enforcement officers and designated military personnel, who are on-duty and required to carry firearms in the performance of their duties. No exemption to this policy is allowed for private persons, even those licensed and permitted to carry a firearm, and/or where applicable, to conceal-carry a firearm.

Questions concerning this policy, or its implementation may be addressed to Hyatt’s Global Security department.

Express Housekeeping

Guided by Hyatt’s Culture of Care, we are pleased to announce Express Housekeeping – our evolved Housekeeping stayover program for select service properties in the Americas.

Express Housekeeping provides a lighter service, after every 2nd night (every other day), compared to the current full clean after every 3rd night. This program acknowledges the needed evolution for more frequent Housekeeping stayover service in today’s business climate. Building on data derived guest insights, Express Housekeeping is the next evolution of Hyatt’s Housekeeping Guest Personal Preferences (HGPP).

The program is grounded in data and designed to address the most critical touch points in the stayover Housekeeping experience: removal of trash, replacement of towels, replenishment of toiletries, and tidying the bed. Listening to what matters most to our guests is at the core of our decision-making process. Property teams are to use their discretion for all other in-room Housekeeping touch points beyond Express Housekeeping.

The minimum age to reserve a guestroom is 18 years old. A person of the minimum age requirement must be present at check-in and become a registered guest in the room.

Fees
For guests staying up to six nights, there is a $75 nonrefundable pet fee.
For stays from seven to 30 nights, there is a $75 nonrefundable pet fee plus a $100 cleaning fee.

To ensure maximum comfort for all of our guests, following the departure of a guest and their pet, there are certain steps we must take to ensure the suite is clean and free from possible allergens. We deep clean carpets, drapes, bedspreads and other linens, and fumigate the suite. For this reason, we add the nonrefundable pet/cleaning fee to the account during check-in.

Guidelines for Dog Owners
All dogs must be housebroken. Dogs must be on leashes when in public areas. Pets are not allowed in the food service areas and pool. Your pet must be confined in a carrier if left unattended during the cleaning of your room or you can arrange to be present when your room is serviced.
