The Big Apple Circus returns to New York City this fall putting a modern twist on a beloved classic.
For the first time in the Wallenda family's 200-year history, world-renowned high wire aerialist and Guinness World Record holder Nik Wallenda will helm the production and has partnered with a team of live entertainment super producers from the circus world, concert industry and Broadway to add a bit of rock and roll flair to classic circus.
Creating an all-new high wire act for this year, Nik is joined by the physical comic Johnny Rockett and Ringmaster Alan Silva and an international award-winning cast from Australia, Brazil, Colombia, Ethiopia, Germany, Russia and the United States many of whom were featured on America’s Got Talent, Britain’s Got Talent and The X-Factor.

Thompson Central Park New York Announces Partnership with Big Apple Circus on Exclusive Guest Experiences
Newly opened property named official hotel partner for iconic circus group to provide a premier entertainment experience for guests and friends of the circus
NEW YORK (November 11, 2021) – Thompson Central Park New York today announced that it will serve as the Big Apple Circus’ newest official hotel partner following the circus’ return to Lincoln Center. To celebrate the partnership, the hotel has unveiled an exclusive ‘Big Apple Circus Package’, which includes a chef-driven circus-themed amenity and selection of fan-favorite Big Apple Circus swag offerings.
For the holiday season, the hotel will offer over-the-top VIP guest experiences that include an exclusive behind-the-scenes package with post-circus lessons and executive ringside access. As the circus’ official hotel partner, Thompson Central Park New York will serve as a central location for friends of the circus, cast members and production crew throughout the performance season. All guests will receive a preferred rate to enjoy the show during their stay with giveaway opportunities available throughout the season on the hotel’s Instagram page (@thompsoncentralpark).

Adored worldwide, The Big Apple Circus returns to Lincoln Center today to capture the hearts of fans once again. 2021 marks a return of this circus after being forced to close at the onset of the pandemic. The circus will make its debut with an all-new award-winning international cast from Australia, Brazil, Colombia, Ethiopia, Germany, Russia, and the United States, some of whom have previously been featured on America’s Got Talent, YouTube and The X-Factor. The show runs today through January 30, 2022.
On November 1, Thompson Central Park New York welcomed hotel guests to newly designed interiors, including a redesigned lobby, public spaces and 587 sophisticated, contemporary guestrooms and suites including the 174-room highly anticipated Upper Stories, a collection of luxurious accommodations offering expansive views, high-end amenities and exclusive offerings and programming, including access to the private Upper Stories Lounge.
