Acorn Hall and Gardens

Acorn Hall and Morris County Historical Society’s exhibit galleries are open to the public Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays or by appointment. The gardens at Acorn Hall are open to the public from dawn until dusk. Access to the Patriot’s Path trail starts to the east of the Carriage House which is behind the Hall.

The Frelinghuysen Arboretum

The majestic 127-acre Frelinghuysen Arboretum is a regional center for horticultural activities of all kinds. Morristown National Historical Park

The park commemorates the sites of General George Washington and the Continental army’s winter encampment of December 1779 to June 1780, where they survived through what would be the coldest winter on record. The park also maintains a museum & library collection related to the encampments & George Washington, as well as items relating to pre- and post-Revolutionary America.
