- We’re the first hotel in the Netherlands to upcycle wine bottles into glasses.
- The Netherlands boasts one of the cleanest tap waters. We filter and bottle all water we serve, saving over 20,000 bottles per year. Hydrate stations are available for guests.
- Kitchen waste is repurposed into biogas and biodiesel.
- Discarded fabrics are made into face masks, pet toys, and more.

- We think plant-based is a must, not an alternative. 69% of our menu is vegan, vegetarian, or can be made so.
- We only offer line-caught fish and the local North Sea is our main source. With a nose-to-tail policy, we buy fish whole and use as much as possible.
- Zero Waste Buffets—using an app, our event guests can tell us exactly what they want to eat. The result is a personalized buffet, reducing waste to almost zero.

Hyatt Regency Amsterdam is located in the Plantage neighbourhood—full of parks, the Hortus Botanicus, and many canals.
It doesn’t get much greener than exploring Amsterdam on one of our hotel bikes, or from the water on one of the electric boats from our friends at Sloepdelen—on the canal right behind our hotel!
Join the Plastic Whale Movement—guests can enjoy the typically Dutch pastime of a canal cruise, whilst cleaning up the canals with litter pickers. A great team-building exercise, too!
