The Hyatt Thrive Leadership Awards recognise Hyatt hotels and field offices that embody the company’s commitment to thriving communities and demonstrate exemplary leadership in environmental sustainability and community engagement.
Last year was challenging for Hyatt Regency Kathmandu in many respects, primarily due to the earthquake and the resulting scarcity of resources. However, throughout all this turmoil and the difficulties faced, the hotel’s team was able to stay true to the Hyatt goal of being “the most preferred hospitality brand” when it comes to engaging with our community, our guests and our colleagues. The hotel initiated many activities to help its local community, including raising funds and supporting the community with much needed help. These activities were focused on contributing to children’s welfare, which is most vulnerable during disruptive scenarios such as earthquakes, as well as conserving our environment and supporting our colleagues and the community in which we live.
