Meeting Space Renovation to be Completed in Early 2020

Hyatt Regency St. Louis at the Arch, a premier business and leisure hotel located in the heart of downtown St. Louis next to the iconic Gateway Arch grounds, announces a renovation to its meeting space slated to be completed in early 2020.

“We are thrilled to announce the upcoming meeting space renovation as it will mark the final stage of a complete renovation to Hyatt Regency St. Louis at The Arch,” said Randy Thompson, general manager of Hyatt Regency St. Louis at The Arch.  “With 24 distinctive meeting and event spaces available, our hotel is unique in that it is able to accommodate any type of group, from large conferences to more intimate occasions.  The updated meeting areas will be designed to provide even more inviting and vibrant spaces for functions located right in the heart of downtown St. Louis, and we look forward to sharing the final product with our group guests.”

The $2.6 million renovation will update each of the hotel’s meeting venues including pre-function foyers, ballrooms, breakout rooms, and boardrooms.  Each space will be outfitted with brand-new carpet featuring an abstract design with an updated color palette ranging from dark blue tones to a mixture of grays.  The updates will also include new accent wall coverings, airwall, and new paint at the trim and doors.

The renovated spaces will also be outfitted with refinished tables with stone tops, reupholstered furniture, the addition of modern tables with USB charging stations, and more than 2,000 brand new banquet chairs.  Additionally, the venues will feature updated artwork reflective of the hotel’s location next to the famous Gateway Arch.

The project will complement the property’s previous $11 million renovation to its guestrooms, lobby, and suites.  Previously, the hotel’s 848 guestrooms were updated with fresh paint, wall vinyl covering, new carpet and furniture, and artwork, as well as the addition of 50-inch high-definition televisions with entertainment systems.  The hotel’s executive suites were updated with brand new lighting, queen-size Murphy beds, updated fireplaces, new and comfortable dining room furniture, in-mirror LCD clocks, and 65-inch high-definition swivel televisions.  The Presidential Suite, Governor Suite, and Regency Suites were redesigned for dual use as luxury accommodations or venues for small or private gatherings and functions with unique entertainment areas featuring everything from poker tables to billiards.

Hyatt Regency St. Louis at The Arch features 83,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor space for group functions.  The meeting spaces include two mid-sized Gateway Ballrooms which are located on the hotel’s 18th floor.  The two elegant ballrooms are complemented by the open-air Gateway Terrace which features panoramic, unobstructed views overlooking the Gateway Arch and scenic Mississippi Riverfront.  The hotel also features the 20,000 square foot Grand Ballroom which is designed for large events, conventions, or conferences, as well as the 16,800 square foot Regency Ballroom perfect for medium to large sized functions.  Both the Grand and Regency ballrooms are flexible and can be partitioned into smaller meeting spaces to fit the size requirements and preferences of any group.

In addition to the traditional ballroom space, the hotel also provides the Park View room which features arch-paned windows with commanding views of the monument as well as a variety of conference rooms, boardrooms, and conference suites.

As the closest hotel to the newly reimagined Gateway Arch park, groups have direct access to the national park right outside the hotel’s doorstep.  Groups can enjoy more than six miles of hike and bike trails around the monument, visit the brand-new Museum at the Gateway Arch, ride 630 feet up the Arch, take a cruise on the Mississippi River, and more.  The hotel is also within easy walking distance from Busch Stadium, and several area museums including the Cardinal’s Hall of Fame & Museum, the National Blues Museum, the Citygarden Sculpture Park, and more.
