Check-in / Age Requirements

All guests must be at least 21 years of age to make a reservation and check­­­­-in to hotel. A valid photo ID and credit card in your name must be presented at the time of check-in. If you do not meet the minimum age requirement to check-in, are unable to produce a valid photo ID, or are unable to produce a credit card in your name with substantial funds to hold the total authorization amount, the reservation will be cancelled with a 1-night penalty of room & tax applied which will be applied to the card used to guarantee the reservation. 

Smoking Policy

Hyatt Place Minneapolis/Downtown is a smoke-free hotel. Smoking is not permitted anywhere in the hotel establishment which includes the use of smoke and smokeless products; including but not limited to cigarettes, e-cigarettes, vapes, chewing tobacco, and marijuana. Violators of this policy will be evicted from the hotel immediately and will be assessed a $250 smoking fine. 

Pet Policy

Hyatt Place Minneapolis/Downtown does not permit pets, including emotional service animals, anywhere throughout the establishment or in the guest rooms. You will not be permitted to check-in to the hotel with a pet. Violators caught sneaking a pet into the hotel will be evicted immediately and charged a $500 fee.

Only official service animals, classified as such by the Americans with Disabilities Act are welcome at Hyatt Place Minneapolis Downtown.

Incidentals & Authorization Hold

A $100 deposit hold per night, per room, will be authorized on all credit and debit cards at the time of check in to cover any incidental charges; this hold will not exceed $500, but will be placed in addition to room & tax.

Additional we reserve the right to authorize 1 night room & tax up to 72 hours prior to arrival. Reservations booked with a declining card may be canceled.

Typically, unused authorizations will be seen back in your account within 3 to 7 business days. While Hyatt Place Minneapolis Downtown releases unused authorizations at the time of departure, every bank and card brand will differ in the time of when these authorizations are reflected back in your account and become usable again. Please be advised that debit cards and international cards will take longer to release the funds, and we strongly encourage the use of credit cards as these tend to be the quickest to return any holds.

Quiet Hours 

Quiet hours at Hyatt Place Minneapolis Downtown are from 10 PM – 8 AM daily. We ask all of our guests to be respective of our quiet hours in order to ensure that all of our guests can get a good nights rest! During quiet hours, we ask that there is no gathering in the halls, shouting in the common areas, loud music being played in the guest rooms, or anything else that could be disruptive to our other guests. In order to enforce this policy, violators will be fined $50 for the first offense, $250 for the second offense, and will be evicted from the premises thereafter. 

Occupancy/No Party Policy

While we certainly want everyone to have a great time during their visit to Hyatt Place Minneapolis Downtown, parties are not permitted at any time in the guest rooms, in the pool, or anywhere on premises unless booked directly through our sales team.

All persons occupying the guest room must register at the front desk and be added to the reservation; additional charges may apply per person.

In addition, each room has a maximum occupancy limit, with our largest room accommodating a maximum of 8 guests. At no time is any guest room permitted to exceed their occupancy limit. Violators will be fined a $250 Party Fee and all non-registered guests will be evicted from the hotel. 

Outside Alcohol / Food Policy

Outside alcohol and food is not permitted to be present or consumed in any of our common areas at any time. Any outside alcohol and food must be contained to your guest room and consumed there. If you would like to utilize our common areas, please purchase and alcohol, food, or snacks directly from our Placery which is open 24/7. Violators will be asked to leave the area if found violating this policy.
