Pet Policy

A special welcome to your four legged friend! We welcome you to The Grand Hyatt Playa del Carmen Resort. 

It is a pleasure to have you and your pet staying with us. In order to ensure that you and your pet have an enjoyable stay, we have our very own “Pet Policy”. Please take a moment to read through the policy as it affects you and your pet.

This hotels welcomes only service animals. An advanced written medical references will be necessary in order to accept the animal.

The Pets shall not be left unattended in the hotel room (your pet may behave very well at home but could easily get a little scared in new surroundings).

The pet cannot remain in the room whilst it is being cleaned.

Pets must be on a leash or in a carry cage while being transported within the hotel.

Pets  are  not  allowed  in  restaurants,  bars,  The  Spa, The  Fitness  Center,  pool  areas, convention center areas or any other area designated by the hotel staff.

Due to laws in place in Playa del Carmen, it is not permitted to allow animals on the beach. Any fine put in place will be of responsibility of the guest, whom will have to pay the fine.

You are responsible for all damages caused by your pet while you are staying in the hotel.

All pets must be under 20 pounds in total weight.
