Hotel Policies

Pet Policy

In order to accommodate guests who enjoy traveling with their pets, the Hyatt Place brand now accepts dogs.

Guidelines for Dog Owners

  • 1-6 nights: the fee is $75, whether a 1 night or 6 nights stay.
  • 7-30 nights: the fee is $75 plus an additional deep cleaning fee of $100.
  • 30+ nights: fee is based on hotel’s discretion

To ensure maximum comfort for all of our guests, following the departure of a guest and their pet after a 7-30 night stay, there are certain steps that we must take to ensure the suite is left clean and free from possible allergens. We deep clean carpets, drapes, bedspreads and other linens, and fumigate the suite to remove any fleas etc.

The cost of performing this extra cleaning is approximately $100.  For this reason, we add a NON-REFUNDABLE cleaning charge to the account when a guest checks-in for 7-30 nights with a pet.

The Hyatt Place brand, limits pets to two (2) household dogs per room weighing less than 50 lbs. each, all dogs must be housebroken.  We reserve the right to refuse dogs that do not meet customary standards for household dogs, based on species, odor or aggressiveness.  Your pet must be confined in a carrier if left unattended during the cleaning of your room or you can make arrangements to be present when your room is serviced.

Pets are not allowed in the Public areas, food service areas and pool. We suggest Guest use side or back entrances, and dogs must be on leashes when in public areas.

Housekeeping Service (Pets Related)

It is mandatory that all guest rooms with pets are required to be serviced by our housekeeper at a minimum every three (3) days.

Firearms Policy

The safety and security of our guests and associates is of utmost importance to Hyatt. This policy is designed for the protection of our guests and associates, and pertains to the presence of firearms on hotel premises.

Hyatt recognizes that guests or visitors may legally possess firearms for a variety of legitimate purposes. This policy is intended to create a safe environment for all guests and visitors by providing appropriate guidance over the custody of firearms on our premises.

Hotel premises are private property. Guests or visitors of a Hyatt hotel who lawfully are permitted to possess a firearm, may bring such firearm onto hotel premises for storage purposes only. Any guest or visitor who is in possession of a firearm on hotel premises is personally responsible for abiding by all applicable federal, state and local laws with respect to firearms, in the jurisdiction where the hotel is located and ensuring that the firearm is:

  • unloaded
  • secured in a locked, hard-sided firearm container provided by the guest;
  • and securely safeguarded at all times in a guest room (or personal vehicle), except when transporting the firearm into or out of the hotel.

Guests who fail to abide by this policy may be asked to leave the hotel premises. A blanket exception to the restrictions described in this policy statement applies only to law enforcement officers and designated military personnel, who are on-duty and required to carry firearms in the performance of their duties. No exemption to this policy is allowed for private persons, even those licensed and permitted to carry a firearm, and/or where applicable, to conceal-carry a firearm.

Questions concerning this policy or its implementation may be addressed to Hyatt’s Global Security department.

Our hotel will accept and hold packages 7 days prior to arrival for guests at no charge for the first 5 packages. Each additional package will be $5 per package. The packages should be addressed to the guest.
