Swimming Pool Safety Precautions

In line with the Malaysian Government’s mandated guideline, our swimming pools will resume operations while adhering to the below precautionary measures. For more information please contact us directly at kuantan.regency@hyatt.com or call +609 518 1234. 

  • Pools operation hours are from 8:00 AM till 8:00 PM daily
  • Swimming pool usage is strictly limited to 1 hour per guest and a maximum of up to 15 persons at one time
  • All guests using the pools must register upon entering the pool area at the designated QR registration desk
  • Only guests who are “low risk” will be allowed to enter swimming pool areas
  • Guests must show proof of digital vaccination certificate
  • Ensure personal hygiene is practiced at all times
  • No physical contact is allowed while in the pool
  • Ensure social distancing of 2m to 3m while in the pool and 2m while at the surrounding pool areas
  • Children below 12 years old are not encouraged to use the pools and must be accompanied by parents at all times
  • Appropriate swim attire must be worn while swimming
  • Guests with skins conditions are prohibited from using the pools
  • Guests must shower before and after using the pools
  • PH & Chlorine ratios will be monitored every 2 hours
  • Sauna and Steam Bath remain closed until further notice
  • Pool equipment will be sanitized on a daily basis by the pool attendants
  • No Food and/or Beverage is allowed to be consumed while in the pool or at swim bar area
  • The hotel and the Management reserves the right to refuse entrance or ask guests to leave pool areas if they do not adhere to the stipulated SOPs as stated above and/or if the pool is crowded

Phase Two National Recovery Plan - Limited Services

At Hyatt Regency Kuantan Resort, the safety and wellbeing of our guests and colleagues remain a top priority. Guided by our purpose of care and in line with this guideline, the hotel will accept fully vaccinated adults for leisure purpose within Pahang State.  Essential services reservations are allowed with relevant documentation provided. All guests must adhere to the following upon arrival and throughout their stay:

  • All guests must be fully vaccinated; passed 14 days after second vaccination dose for Pfizer, Astra Zeneca and Sinovac, passed 28 days after one dose for Johnson & Johnson and CanSino
  • Both parents of children aged 17 years and below must be fully vaccinated
  • All guests must present their MySejahtera Digital Vaccination Certificate upon arrival at the hotel and/or restaurant outlets
  • Only individuals who are categorised as “Low Risk” in the MySejahtera app will be allowed into the hotel and restaurants
  • Face masks are required at all times while in indoor and outdoor public areas

Please also be advised that during your stay with us, limited services will be available as listed below:

  • Kampung Restaurant and The Deli are open for dine-in guests who are fully vaccinated
  • Kampung Restaurant will operate daily from 6.30 AM till 10.00 PM, and The Deli from 6.30 AM – 9.00 PM daily
  • In-room dining service will be available from 7:00 AM till 10:00 PM daily
  • Tennis Courts are open for use with advance booking required and limited to two guests per court at a time.
  • All other hotel facilities including the Fitness Centre and Swimming Pools remain closed as per the Government’s mandate
  • Access to the beach is open but restricted as per local council’s regulation
  • Laundry services are available upon request, dry cleaning will not be available

Standard Operating Procedures for Dine-In Guests

The safety and wellbeing of our guests and colleagues remain a top priority.
In light of COVID-19 and for precautionary measures in line with the Malaysian Government’s mandate, all dine-in guests must be low risk individuals and fully vaccinated. Guests must show their digital vaccination certificate upon entry. Kampung Restaurant is open daily for dine-in from 7.00 AM till 10.00 PM and takeaway from 11.00 AM till 7.00 PM. All other dining outlets remain closed until further notice. All dine-in guests must adhere to the following regulations:

Hyatt Regency Kuantan Resort is proud to announce it has recently achieved the Global Biorisk Advisory Council® STAR™ accreditation by ISSA, a worldwide cleaning industry association. The hotel has successfully implemented stringent protocols and best practices towards  cleaning, disinfection and infectious disease prevention.

Towards a Cleaner and Safer Malaysia

On 17 September 2020, Hyatt Regency Kuantan Resort has been awarded with a hygiene and safety label known as “Clean & Safe Malaysia”. The label, which is granted by Bureau Veritas Malaysia (BVM) upon thorough audits, is an accreditation programme initiated by the Malaysian Association of Hotels (MAH). It is designed specifically for hotels and resorts in compliance with local regulatory requirements and international standards.

Aside from adhering regulatory requirements, the “Clean and Safe Malaysia” label ensures continuous and unyielding implementation of hygiene and safety policies by the awarded property. Exemption of 6% Sales and Service Tax (SST) and Tourism Tax

Hyatt Regency Kuantan Resort will be exempting the 6% Sales and Service Tax (SST) and Tourism Tax from now until June 30, 2021 in accordance with the Short-Term Economic Recovery Plan announced by the Malaysian Government on 5 June 2020.
