Ryukyu Mura
Ryukyu Mura is a theme park based on traditional Okinawan culture where a village has been recreated from the Ryukyu Kingdom era. The village includes a traditional red-tiled house and workshops where visitors can participate in hands-on cultural experiences. A wide range of performances are held at the village including Ryukyu dance, Eisa, and lion dance, as well as dressing up in Ryukyu costumes.
Murasaki Mura Ryukyu Kingdom Theme Park
A theme park in Yomitan Village which has recreated the townscape of the 15th century during the Ryukyu Kingdom era. Each of the red tiled houses is a "hands-on" crafts studio where you can try out over 101 experiences such as making shisa, bingata dyeing, glass blowing and glass bead making.
Yachimun Pottery Village
In Okinawan dialect, “yachimun” means “pottery.” More than 20 pottery workshops are located in this village where yachimun can be purchased directly from the artisans.
Shuri Castle Park
The symbolic Shuri Castle of the Ryukyu Kingdom, which lasted about 450 years, was registered as a World Heritage Site in 2000. There are various historic buildings in the 18 hectares of garden which bring to life the history of the Ryukyu Kingdom.

Cape Manzamo
Facing the East China Sea is a unique shaped rock formation of Ryukyu limestone, 20 meters above sea. At the beginning of the 18th century when Ryukuan King Naotaka visited the cape, he noted that it was large enough to sit 10,000 people. The kanji characters of the Japanese written form of Manzamo reflect the king's expression.
Cape Zanpa
Cape Zanpa, located at the northwestern tip of Yomitan Village, is a famous travel destination in Okinawa. A scenic spot with a white lighthouse towering over the blue sea and 30m high cliffs that extend for 2km where you can watch the waves hitting the rocks.
Cape Maeda
A scenic spot overlooking the East China Sea, Cape Maeda is known for its coral plateau. Huge rocks lie among the tip of the cape formed by raised coral reef, and right underneath, you will be able to see Okinawa’s clear emerald green ocean and the mystic Blue Cave, one of the most popular spots in Okinawa for divers.
Kouri Island
Kouri Island, located in the northern part of the main island of Okinawa, is accessible by car from the main island. The beautiful emerald green sea and the heart-shaped rocks on Tine beach are popular photo spots.
Minna Island
Minna Island, floating in the beautiful emerald green sea, is affectionately known as "croissant island" due to its crescent moon shape. Minna Beach on the west side of the island is gaining popularity for its pure white sand beach.
Ie Island
Accessible by a 30 minute ferry ride from the main island, Ie Island is characterized by its landmark peak called Tatchuu. Iejima draws visitors especially during the spring when the Lily Festival takes place showcasing Easter lilies in full bloom and over 100 varieties of white lilies from around the world.
Sesoko Island
Sesoko Island is connected to the main island by the Sesoko Bridge with its beautiful white arch. The island is famous for its 700m stretch of white sand Sesoko Beach.
Fukugi Tree Road in Bise
In Okinawa, fukugi trees are planted around houses to act as windbreakers. Take in the serene atmosphere surrounded by 20,000 fukugi trees along the tree-lined road.
Kaichu Road
Midway on the 4.7km long ocean road bridge, Kaichu Road, is Ayahashi Kaiun Station with a marine culture museum and restaurant. Hamahiga Island, just past the underwater road, is a power spot linked with the progenitors of the Ryukyus, the goddess Amamikiyo and the god Shinerikiyo.

History
Okinawa Peace Memorial Park
At the Peace Memorial Museum located in the Mabuni Hill of Itoman City, wartime photos and objects from the Battle of Okinawa, the final ground battle during the Second World War are displayed. The Peace Memorial Museum and Cornerstone of Peace monument was established where the Battle of Okinawa ended.
Himeyuri Peace Museum
The Himeyuri Peace Museum was built in honor of the “Himeyuri Student Corps” who was mobilized on the battlefield as a nursing staff in the Battle of Okinawa and lost their lives.
Former Japanese Navy Underground Headquarters
Kaigungou Navy Underground Headquarters is known as the former site of the Japanese Navy headquarters during WWII which was used as an air-raid-shelter by the Japanese Navy during the Battle of Okinawa. After the war, it was opened to the public with a viewing of the commanding officer's room and as a former battlefield park.
