Our 187 guest rooms and suites—all non-smoking—seamlessly combine Japanese comforts and traditions with the customary amenities of a modern hotel. Adorned with framed works of antique kimono fabric, the serene residences are furnished with softly lit paper lanterns, low-slung beds, and deep tubs for a relaxing soak—a blissful dose of daily comfort that’s highly valued in Japan. Our 60-square-meter Deluxe Balcony rooms and all suites feature oversized wooden baths of fragrant Japanese cypress.

Located on the hotel’s fifth floor (the hotel’s highest), 88-square-metre (947-square-feet), plus additional 15-square-metre (161-square-feet) balcony, suite overlooks the Kyoto National Museum. A simple yet modern interior features a stylistic mix of grey and red tones that naturally blend into the timeless scenery of Kyoto’s Higashiyama, creating an authentic and distinctive experience of living in Kyoto.
The king-size bed features a custom-made mattress and a down duvet made by K.K. Iwata, a long-standing supplier of high-quality bedding products. The room also has a 49-inch flat-screen TV, and a Blu-ray player.
The suite’s large living area has a 43-inch flat-screen TV, an espresso machine, and a work desk with Wi-Fi Internet access. The bathroom features an overhead shower, a large cypress bathtub and a separate granite-floored wet area.
