Kyoto Imperial Palace

Rich in tradition, Kyoto Imperial Palace preserves the look and ambiance of the Palace as it had been in the time of Japan's ancient imperial dynasties. The current Palace was rebuilt in 1855 and comprises several structures--including the Shisinden, the Seiryoden, the Kogosyo, the Ogakumonjyo, and the Otsunegoten--that reflect the architectural styles of various periods.

Nijo-jo Castle

The Nijo-jo Castle was built by Tokugawa ieyasu who is the first Shogun of Tokugawa Shogunate. The 400-year-old buildings of the Ninomaru-goten Palace, the Kara-mon Gate and the Ninomaru Garden, are unique survivals from one of the golden ages of Japanese architecture and design, the early Edo period, known for its ornate architecture and magnificent interiors.

Kiyomizu-dera Temple

Otowa-san Kiyomizu-dera, also known as Kiyomizu Temple, is a Buddhist temple of more than 1,200 years old. Its name, derived from the Otowa Waterfall, refers to the purity of water. Located in Kyoto’s Higashiyama Hills, on Mt. Otowa peak, Kiyomizu-dera is visited by guests who pay respect to Kannon, a diety of mercy and compassion. We can enjoy the beautiful scenery of the four seasons.Surrounded by blessed nature and composed of several shrines and temples, Kiyomizu-dera is one of Kyoto’s many UNESCO World Heritage Sites.

Tofuku-ji Temple

One of the so-called Kyoto Gozan or "five great Zen temples of Kyoto". The grounds contain 25 sub-temples and gardens and its main gate called Sanmon is one of the oldest gate in Japan.

Kyoto International Manga Museum

The Kyoto International Manga Museum was founded to collect and preserve about 300,000manga materials. The ‘Wall of Manga’ bookshelves that stretch from the first to the third floor of the museum, are packed full of manga. You can read anything whatever you want.
