BIBLE TOWER

Being the tallest church tower in Asia which can be seen from anywhere in the town, the Bible Tower is located 15 minutes away from the hotel. With a height of around 260 feet, the structure was inaugurated on 7th January 2007. Dr Pedro Lopez Quintana, dedicated the tower to world peace. It is the first known Christian art gallery in Kerala.

ATHIRAPALLY WATER FALLS

Treasured for its scenic beauty, Athirapally Falls is an extraordinary waterfall on the Chalakudy River, which originates from the upper extents of the Western Ghats. This 24-m-(80-ft)-high and 100-m-(330-ft)-wide natural wonder is often referred to as the ‘Niagara Falls of India’.

STATE MUSEUM AND ZOO

The Historical State Museum and Zoo home to a variety of fauna including species of birds, deer, and reptiles. The art museum within the compound offers an amazing experience of carved sculptures, ancient ornaments and a collection of traditional lamps.

Vadakkumnathan Temple

One of the oldest temples in the State, the Vadakkumnathan Temple is a classic example of the Kerala style of architecture and has many decorative murals and pieces of art. This is the venue of the world-famous Pooram festival celebrated annually in April-May. The fireworks at the Pooram are a spectacular sight. Non-Hindus are not allowed entry into the temple. Guruvayoor Temple

Guruvayoor Temple is one of Kerala's most sacred and important pilgrim centers. Its main attraction is the Sree Krishna Temple. This historic temple is shrouded in mystery. According to belief, the temple is the creation of Guru, the preceptor of the Gods, and Vayu, the God of winds. The eastern nada is the main entrance to the shrine. In the Chuttambalam (outer enclosure) is the tall 33.5 m high gold-plated Dwajasthambam (flag-post). There is also a 7 m high Dipastambham (pillar of lamps), whose thirteen circular receptacles provide a truly gorgeous spectacle when lit. The square Sreekovil is the sacred sanctum sanctorum of the temple, housing the main deity. Within the temple, there are also images of Ganapathy, Lord Ayyappa, and Edathedattu Kavil Bhagavathy. Only Hindus are allowed inside the temple.
