Offer code HMOON must be requested at time of wedding inquiry, disclosed in signed wedding contract and offer is subject to hotel participation, availability of function space and guestrooms at time of booking. FAQs

Can I create my own menu?

We offer a wide variety of wedding menus to suit all tastes and preferences. Our team of experienced chefs would be delighted to help you in creating customised menus tailored just for your wedding, based on your preferences.

Can I taste all the food before the wedding?

A special menu tasting can be organised prior to your wedding day. This is applicable for set menus chosen for the wedding. For buffet tastings, several dishes can be sampled with 48 hours prior notice.

How long will my reception last?

Generally, a wedding reception comprises of a snack pass-around session of two-and-a-half hours plus a dinner buffet planned for four hours. You can extend the time if desired. Your wedding specialist will advise of any additional costs for additional time.

How far in advance should I begin planning?

We are happy to begin planning with you at any time. We normally hire our Regency Ballroom with a lead time of 45 days and give priority to those with a minimum guarantee of 300 guests. However, closer to the dates, depending on the availability of the venue, we are happy to offer our space to events with a lower guest count as well.

Do you have suggested vendors for music, flowers, photography. etc.?

We work on a regular basis with several vendors. We would be delighted to provide recommendations and assistance with your wedding decorations, music, photography, videography, transportation and floral needs. Additional charges apply.

Can I bring my own alcoholic beverages?

As per state government law we, as a hotel, are only authorised to serve the hotel’s alcoholic beverages within the premises.

Can I bring in my own wedding cake designer?

Our pastry chef will be delighted to assist you with any design, due to our food safety standards we will not be able to assist you with your request of designing your own cake.

Are you able to arrange for an open venue for the wedding?

We have several standalone outdoor venues available on hire around the hotel within a proximity of 5 km. The hotel itself does not have an outdoor venue to offer. However, we do specialise in outdoor catering from 50 - 1,500 people.

Does the hotel provide any entertainment?  Are there any permissions required?

Entertainment in the form of a DJ, or performing artists needs to be outsourced, as we do not have anybody in-house. However, the hotel would be happy to recommend artists. Otherwise, you are free to arrange this on your own. Any DJ or live performer needs to have a bona fide performing license. Also, for each event, the hotel would require certain government licenses to be submitted prior to the event, without which the performers would not be able to perform. Your event specialist/sales manager would be happy to take you through the details of these applicable licenses and from where you may procure them.
