  • Local inspiration, Sustainability & Wellbeing are the three pillars that guide us in all we do to create vibrant locally flavored experiences that fuel our guests’ creativity. 
  • Our enviornmental practices are certified by the Deutsches Institut für Nachhaltigkeit & Ökonomie. 
  • From our small rooftop beehives to our large vertical garden in the event area – we live and breath sustainability 
  • We use Hyatt EcoTrack to track sustainability metrics including greenhouse gas emissions, energy, water, waste, and recycling.

  • Our energy provider EinsEnergieitself contributes to the wellbeing of the environment by using wind and solar energy.
  • We minimize energy use through intelligent central heating and LED lighting.
  • Our Green Wall, a vertical garden with over 1930 plants in the events area supplies any meeting with better air and helps to reduce carbon emissions.
  • We are supplied with an Osmosis water filter. Guests can enjoy high-quality Munich tap water including in their guestrooms.

Waste and Circularity

  • All of our take-away containers are made out of 100% responsible plastic. Labels are also made of vegetable material and even the print colors are bio-degradable.
  • No plastic bottles are used, only glass bottles: 50% of these are recycled, 50% come from a deposit system to recirculate back through the local supply chain. Infused water stations are used for events instead of purchased glass water bottles.
  • We reduce food waste to a minimum through practices like preparing dishes on demand.

  • Our farm-to table approach and our work with local suppliers of organic produce align with Hyatt’s Food. Thoughtfully Sourced. Carefully Served. philosophy. We do not have a single chaving dish in the hotel as our chefs love what they do and are proud to showcase it in person. 
  • Events menus favor meat-free dishes and reduced proportion of meat.
  • We use Isar stones to eliminate disposable buffet labels, and we use edible garnishes.

Andaz Munich Schwabinger Tor is located in newly developed Schwabinger Tor district — large pedestrian areas, a small garden to relax, within a short stroll to Englischer Garten and so much more.

Did you know that we even have our own chocolate footprint? Through the purchase of 113 KG original beans chocolate we helped to improve the life of 13 cacoa growing families, grew 441 new trees, sourced and preserved 2 rare cacao variaties and much more. Going green taste delicious!
