Railroad Square Art District

With more than 70 shops, galleries, and small businesses, Railroad Square is the haven for the creative Tallahassee. Railroad Square is best known for the exciting and popular First Friday festival, which occurs on the first Friday of every month, providing a lively, enjoyable experience with open galleries/shops, live music, and food. However, we encourage you to check out the Art District during other times of the month. Many Railroad Square businesses open Thursday through Sunday each week, with a few businesses open every day. Railroad Square is the place to go to support creative LOCAL businesses and experience a variety and uniqueness not found in any other single location in town...from vintage, thrift, and antique stores, to art galleries, creative shops, a non-profit theater, an authentic pinball arcade, a gaming shop, a cult cinema, the largest indoor rock climbing gym in the region, and a specialty kayak shop...there's something for everyone! Food and beverage options include the Square Mug Cafe, Gamescape Cafe, Railroad Square Crafthouse, and the Crumbox Gastgarden, which is the only cafe in town built out of a real railroad caboose!
