  • All passengers arriving to Ethiopia need to hold a negative PCR test certificate before arrival. The certificate needs to be under 120 hours old. This regulation is effective 23rd of Sep 2020.
  • The test needs to be completed before arrival. There shall be no Covid-19 test to be done on arrival at Addis Ababa. 
  • Passengers who have a certificate of negative covid-19 RT PCR test are required to bring the printed copy of the same. 

As an extension of Hyatt’s Global Care & Cleanliness Commitment, our property can currently help arrange for on-property COVID-19 testing. See testing fee(s) below.

Terms & Conditions:

    Testing arrangements facilitated by participating hotels or resorts are available for registered guests only.

    Tests must be conducted during a stay at a participating hotel or resort, and no refund or credit will be issued for unused tests. Guest may be required to show proof of travel plans.

    Tests are conducted by a third party, who is solely responsible for administering the tests; results are not shared with the hotel or resort.

    Tests may be subject to test provider’s terms and conditions.

Pet Policy

Our hotel is pet friendly. Bring your cat or dog , we will acquaint you with the areas you can walk your dog in the vicinity of the hotel.



There is a $50 surcharge per room and night for pet accommodation. Hyatt Regency will provide food and water bowls.


Weight Limits

Weight limit of 22 kg /55 lbs. with a maximum of two dogs, if combined weight is 35 kg /75 lbs. or less.

At this time, we appreciate our guests may prefer the opportunity to limit potential contact points with others in their space. Requesting guests to do an online check in prior to arrival to speed up their check in process and reduce contact with staff.

Guest Rooms:

As such, Hyatt Regency Addis Ababa is adjusting standard. Daily guestroom housekeeping services to provide service every third day during a guest’s stay.
