Dog Policy
Please note, Hyatt Place Newark/Main Street is a dogs only hotel.
Weight Limits We allow dogs weighing 50 pounds or less, and a maximum of two dogs weighing a combined 75 pounds or less per room during your stay.
Fees:
- For guests staying up to six nights, there is a $75 nonrefundable dog fee.
- For stays from seven to 30 nights, there is a $75 nonrefundable dog fee plus a $100 cleaning fee.
Fees do not include taxes.
To ensure maximum comfort for all of our guests, following the departure of a guest and their dog, there are certain steps we must take to ensure the suite is clean and free from possible allergens. We deep clean carpets, drapes, bedspreads and other linens, and fumigate the suite. For this reason, we add the nonrefundable dog/cleaning fee to the account during check-in.
Guidelines for Dog Owners All dogs must be housebroken. Dogs must be on leashes when in public areas. Dogs are not allowed in the food service areas and pool. Your dog must be confined in a carrier if left unattended during the cleaning of your room or you can arrange to be present when your room is serviced.

Credit Card Policy
A valid credit card must be presented at the time of check-in. The card will be authorized for room, tax and an additional $15 per night for incidentals.
DEBIT CARD USERS: There is a $15 PER NIGHT authorization placed on your card at check in to account for any incidental charges you may incur including but not limited to food & beverage charges. Funds will be held as a ‘pending charge’ and will be unavailable to you. Any unused authorization is released within 7-10 business days after check out, depending on your banking institution.
