The Stone Sculpture Park of the Southern Song Dynasty

The lively sculptures tell us of the culture of Southern Song dynasty. The stone sculptures of the Southern Song dynasty are well known for their accurate molding, diversified contours, gestures, and expressive faces.

Xiaoputuo Scenic Spot

Xiaoputuo Scenic Spot consists of a lake, a causeway, and Xiayu Temple. Taogong causeway divides the Dong Qian Lake into two parts. Eight attractions in the area combine natural scenery with masterpieces of human creation.

Mt. Fuquan Scenic Spot

Standing on the mountaintop, you can not only have a bird’s-eye view of the Dongqian Lake sparkling in the sunlight, but also command a broad view of the gorgeous clouds over the East Sea. Tea plants are planted around the slope of the mountaintop.

Taogong Island

The unique lakeside scenery and well-established entertainment facilities makes Taogong Island a destination for barbecues, swimming, dragon boating, and beach volleyball.

Dongqian Lake

This is the largest freshwater lake in Zhejiang province and one of the most scenic areas in the region. It is rich with ancient Buddhist temples, caves, stone carvings of the Southern Song dynasty, and working fishing villages.

Tianyi Pavilion

Considered one of the three oldest libraries in the world, Tianyi Pavilion has a history of more than 400 years. It was a private library in the Ming dynasty.

Fenghua District

Fenghua is most famous for being the hometown of Generalissimo and President Chiang Kai-shek. The great Xuedou Temple, once one of the five great monasteries of Chan Buddhism, is located here.

Putuo Mountain

Enjoy fantastic vistas of the surrounding seascapes from Putuo Mountain, which is one of the four sacred mountains of Chinese Buddhism. It is also home to the most famous temple of Kuanyin (the goddess of mercy and the patron saint) in all of China.
