Xi’an Concert Hall

Xi’an Concert Hall is the best concert hall in northwest area, with 18,000sqm. It was built to resemble a standard concert hall, with a symphony hall, a multifunctional hall and an indoor music hall. Shaanxi History Museum

Shaanxi History Museum, known as “ancient capital pearl, Chinese treasure house”, is an artistic hall which displays Shaanxi history, culture and Chinese ancient civilization. Its collection of cultural relics reaches 370,000, dating from the simple stone that human used at the initial stage in ancient times down to all kinds implements in social life before 1840; the time span covers more than one million years. The cultural relics are rich in number and types and have high grade and wide value, among which Shang bronze is exquisite; terracotta figurines of past dynasties are of varied types and postures; gold and silver ware of Han and Tang Dynasty is unique across the country; wall paintings of Tang tomb have no equals in this world. It is called a collection of variety of boutiques carnival.

The Forest of Stone Tablets Museum

The Forest of Stone Tablets Museum is situated in Sanxue Street. The Museum was set up in the 2nd year of Emperor Yuanyou's reign in the Song Dynasty. It is an art treasure house containing the largest and richest collection of the stone tablets of ancient China. The tablets bear evidence to the cultural achievements recorded in ancient China and the cultural exchanges between China and other countries. No tourist should take a risk of missing the Forest of Stone Tablets once they visit Xi'an.

The Shaanxi Opera

The Shaanxi Opera, with its so-called luantan tones, is the most ancient opera in China. During its long history, more than 4,000 traditional programs have been accumulated, which outnumbers those of any other local opera. "Shouting When Performing" is one of the 10 Shaanxi peculiar phenomena.

Great Wild Goose Pagoda

The famous Dayan Pagoda is about four kilometers from the urban center of Xi'an. The Dayan Pagoda is one of the most famous Buddhist pagodas in China. In 652 AD Xuanzang proposed to emperor that a pagoda be built inside the temple to store the scriptures and statues that he had brought back from India.

The Bell Tower

The Bell Tower is situated in the center of Xi'an City. It was first built at the entrance of Guangji Street. It was moved to its present site in the 10th year of Wanli in the Ming Dynasty. It gained its name as the Bell Tower because there is a big bell hanging in the tower which signalled the time every morning.

The City Wall

The existing City Wall of Xi'an was built in the Ming Dynasty. Starting from 1370, the 3rd year of Emperor Hongwu's reign, the project came to a completion in 1378, the 11th year of his reign. After repairs had been made on the wall by the local government, the City Wall has taken on a new look.

Daming Palace

The Daming Palace, put up as sponsored by Li Shimin in 634 AD, the 8th year under the reign of Zhenguan, was a summer resort for his father Li Yuan. It was located on a Dragon-head Terrace,and was one of the three largest palaces in Chang'an City in the Tang Dynasty.

Hukou Waterfall

Lying along the Qin and Jin Gorge in the middle of the Yellow River, the western bank of the Hukou Waterfall belongs to Hukou Township of Yichuan County, Shaanxi Province while the eastern side joins Jixian County, Shanxi Province. It is the 2nd largest waterfall in China, both banks of the Hukou are flanked by green mountains.

The Famen Temple

Located in Fufeng County, Shaanxi Province, 120 kilometers west of Xi'an, the Famen Temple was constructed in the Eastern Han Dynasty to house the fingerbones of Sakyamuni, the founder of Buddhism. It is the largest palace among all the temples and stupas discovered so far in China. The finger bone discovered at Famen Temple is the only real finger bone of the Buddha that has been discovered in the world. Many other relics were also unearthed from the underground palace, they are considered to be national treasures.

The Mount Hua

This is the Mount Hua, one of the five most famous mountains in China. With the Yellow River to the north and the Qinling Mountain Range at the back to the south, the Mount Hua stands in the south of Huayin County. It has always been known for being very steep. There are five peaks that form the Mount Hua. From a distance, these five peaks look like a lotus among the mountains, hence the name of the Mount Hua (Hua means flower in Chinese).

Banpo Museum

Banpo Museum is located in the eastern suburbs of Xi'an, nine kilometers from the center of the city. It houses the site of a 6,000-year-old village, which belonged to a neolithic matriarchal clan community.
