Chinese New Year Celebrations

The Chef de Cuisine of One Harbour Road, Chan Hon Cheong, will be offering guests a festive menu of 12 auspicious dishes. This year, besides a scrumptious dinner, Chef Cheong has prepared 12 kinds of celebratory dim sums named according to the Lunar New Year blessings. Highlights include:

  • Braised Goose Web with South African Abalone and Pomelo Peel
  • Pan-Fried Oyster with Osmanthus Honey Sauce and Wok-Fried Tiger Prawns

One Harbour Road also caters to people on vegetarian diets and those who are looking for healthy dishes to balance the celebration meals. For the first time, Chef Cheong specially curated dishes with Omnipork, an all-purpose plant-based pork alternative that is nutritionally superior and environmentally friendly. A set menu and individual dishes are available. Highlights include:

  • Deep-fried lotus root with plant-based pork*, chestnuts, coriander, celery, morel mushrooms
  • Roasted plant-based pork, stone bowl-fried beetroot rice, morel mushrooms, yellow fungus, water chestnut

The vegetarian set menu and dishes is available daily from 21 January through 28 February 2019. Auspicious dishes are available from 1 to 14 February 2019.

*Omnipork is invented by a Canadian foodtech company, is a blend of plant-based proteins from peas, non-GMO soy, shiitake mushrooms and rice, making it a high-quality vegan protein. Omnipork is also cholesterol-free, antibiotic-free, hormone-free and animal cruelty-free.
