Completed in late 2018, the full renovation of Hyatt Regency Sonoma Wine Country added 90 rooms for a total of 253, including six suites. Rooms and suites were restyled with new carpet and warm tones inspired by autumn in the countryside. The redesigned lobby features an eclectic layering of wood tones, brushed metals, and woven textures. Public spaces—40,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor event space—were also reimagined and include an 80-foot water wall and 10-foot firepit.

Hyatt Regency Sonoma Wine Country Appoints New Executive Chef
On November 12, 2018, Hyatt Regency Sonoma Wine Country welcomed Executive Chef Rene Jakushak to lead kitchen operations at the hotel’s new restaurant. In his new role, Chef Jakushak creates contemporary, rustic cuisine using local Sonoma ingredients. Prior to his appointment, he served as executive chef for the 250-room Hilton Sonoma. He also worked as executive chef of Oakland Hilton and of River Rock Casino in Geyserville, California, and sous chef of San Francisco Hilton Union Square.
