The daily resort fee of BRL 85.00 per room provides the following services and amenities to enhance the guest experience. In this resort, located between beautiful mountains and white sand beaches, you will find a wide range of leisure activities available every day of the year.

Grand Hyatt Rio de Janeiro adheres to Hyatt's Global Care and Cleaning Commitment, which has adopted several measures focused on the safety and well-being of guests, customers and employees.

Responsible Tourism Certification, Conscious Tourism and Xô Corona, which follow the strictest protocols for licensing in the state and city of Rio de Janeiro and the Brazilian Ministry of Tourism.

Hotel hygiene specialist: our hotel has a Hygiene Leader, who is responsible for adhering to the new protocols and training all employees.

The apartments have extra care, such as disinfection of all surfaces and trousseau with ECOLAB products, world leader in prevention; deep cleaning of items most handled during the stay, including switches, doorknobs, faucets and showers; stationery and minor personal hygiene items available upon request; governance team equipped and oriented with distancing and hygiene protocols.

Pet policy

Grand Hyatt Rio de Janeiro is a dog-friendly hotel.

Guests may bring one pet up to 22kg or two small (up to 15kg) per room; a rate of R$350 (three hundred and fifty reais) + taxes will be applied for stays of up to 6 days. From the 7th day, there will be an additional cost of BRL 500 for deep cleaning.

It is recommended that the animal sleeps in its special bed, made especially for it. Guests with pets will receive this bed upon check-in.



1. It is mandatory to present your pet's updated vaccination record at check-in.

2. Take care that your pet is not left alone in the room. All dogs must be accompanied by their owner in their accommodation during their stay.

3. The presence of dogs is allowed inside the rooms, lobby, corridors and in restricted external areas of the Tano and Cantô restaurants, as long as they are on leashes. The animal can transit in places of passage (Lobby, corridors exclusive to the floor where it is staying, elevators, etc.) but cannot remain in these places;

4. Dogs are not allowed in the pool area, Grand Club, event and meeting rooms, Atiaia SPA, Fitness Center and/or Marapendi Lounge.

5. Clean any and all dirt and/or waste caused and/or left by the animal on the hotel premises; In case of any emergencies with physiological needs outside the room, cleaning of the place by the owner or immediate notification to a nearest employee is required to help.

6. Take care of the animal so that it does not get hurt or hurt others. It is the responsibility of the person responsible to prevent the animal from making noises or doing anything that disturbs or harms the well-being of other guests and/or employees;

7. Prevent the animal from defecating or urinating on the hotel premises; Any and all damage to the hotel's premises and objects, as well as: furniture, objects, equipment and plants are the responsibility of the owner. Costs and damages must be covered in full.

8. It is not allowed to leave the dog while the room is being cleaned by the housekeeping team. It is also the owner's responsibility to avoid any kind of embarrassment among other guests and/or employees.

9. For walks through the hotel's public facilities, it is necessary to use a leash. When returning to the room after walks, the animal must have its paws clean.

Failure to comply with any of the guidelines and rules mentioned above gives Grand Hyatt Rio de Janeiro the right not to check-in or request check-out.


Laws and Regulations

Our rooms and environments have smoke alarms throughout their coverage and, according to State Law No. 5,517, of 08/17/09, smoking inside apartments, restaurants or areas with some type of coverage is not allowed. Subject to fine applied at the discretion of the hotel.

According to Federal Law nº 8.069, of 07/13/90, art. 82 of the Child and Adolescent Statute and State Law No. 6,273, of 06/28/12 defines and stipulates, it is not permitted and is characterized as a crime to accommodate a child or adolescent in a hotel, motel, inn, boarding house or similar establishment , unless authorized or accompanied by parents or guardians or with express permission from the judicial authority.

Federal Law No. 11,126, of 06/27/05 and Municipal Law No. 5,737 of 04/25/14 – Availability of assistance on the right of the visually impaired to enter and remain in collective use environments with or without a guide dog .
