Hotel Experience & General Information
Check-in begins at 3 PM.Upon check-in, your card will be authorized for $100 per room (plus tax), per stay, which will be released at check out time. This charge may appear on your debit or credit card for up to two weeks post-departure.
Check out is noon.
We always try to accommodate early check-ins. Let us know when you are arriving and we’ll do our best to get you into your room early. A payment of $50 USD + taxes should be paid for early check in before noon (upon availability).
If you need a little extra time getting out, let us know. We will do our best to give you some more time, and we can always hold onto your bags while you explore. We always suggest letting the Front Desk team know at least 24 hrs in advance. For interest in staying past 1 you’ll incur an additional charge:

No, outside food is prohibited in the Lounge. However, you can always enjoy your own food and drinks on our rooftop. Pop up and relax!
You are staying at a 1947, Cataloged by the Bellas Artes Institute building, so we do not have an elevator.
Yes, the instructions are located on the safe door, but feel free to ask the Front Desk how to use it.
Lounge Fernando is open to the community as well as to property guests. We’d love it if you invite your friends during your stay. Stay with us and enjoy a selection of complimentary breakfast items. Guests or passersby can try more substantial favorites like the Molletes or Huauzontle Croquettes.

If you can let us know if you are planning on receiving anything, we can make sure it arrives safely. If anything arrives for you before you check-in, we’ll hold it at the front desk. We are only able to hold packages for 15 days before or after your reservation.

Yes, but we recommend you purchase necessary international phone plans prior to arrival. Although there is free WIFI in the city, sometimes connection is not the best, so be prepared with your phone plan.
You will need your passport to travel to Mexico if coming from the U.S. If coming from another country, please review your embassy website to make sure you bring the necessary documentation.
Mexican Pesos.
Mexico City has a great weather going from 6 °C to 27 °C during the year, with it very rarely going below 3 °C or above 30 °C. During summertime expect rains everyday, mostly during the mornings or the afternoons.
Mexico City has an elevation of 2250 meters above sea level so being dizzy or having a headache can be part of the adaptation process. Drinking a lot of water is very helpful.
You can reach out to our Front Desk team, and we can assist you scheduling a doctor visit if needed or an appointment outside the Hotel.
Rooms & Amenities
All rooms include bath amenities, bluetooth speakers, white noise machine, a hairdryer, a fully stocked minibar, a delightfully comfortable bathroom, iron or steamer (upon request), French Press and all the supplies to make your own coffee, in-room safe, and chromecast TV (allowing you to play any streaming apps from your phone or laptop).

No. All of our rooms are non-smoking. If we find that you’ve tampered with any of our smoke detectors or lit up in your room, we’ll charge a $200 USD fee.

Parking, Travel & Transportation
We are located in La Condesa neighborhood at Calle Iztaccihuatl 54, Hipódromo, Cuauhtémoc, 06100 Ciudad de México, CDMX, México.
The Hotel does not have a parking lot, however there are a few parking lots nearby that we can help you book. There is also street parking available in the Condesa area for roughly $12 pesos per hour. You’ll need to pay in the machine (Parquimetro) in pesos. If you do not pay your car may be blocked and you may be fined roughly $1,400 Mexican pesos. We can assist you with this process.
No, we do not have chargers at the hotel and there are limited spaces in the city that have that option. You can contact the Front Desk team to assist you in case you bring an electric car.
The Mexico City International airport is approximately 7 miles/ 11 km from Hotel San Fernando. Ask our FD team for the best time to leave the hotel to make sure you will arrive on time. Traffic in Mexico City can make the ride longer depending on the day and time.
Uber is a safe way to move to and from the airport. In case you use a Taxi Service, always look for the certified stands inside the airport.
We are happy to assist in arranging a rideshare to or from the airport, just ask the Front Desk with at least 24 hrs prior to your departure/ arrival in order to confirm the service.

Yes! Well-behaved dogs are always welcome (for a small fee). Pack your pup and we’ll supply a bed, bowl, and maybe a treat or two for your best friend.

Booking & Policies
For payment, we accept American Express, Mastercard or Visa.
Plans change. If yours do, we just ask that you let us know at least 3 days prior to your reservation to avoid a fee (equal to the reservation deposit charged at the moment of your booking).
During peak times and depending on your reservation, our policies may vary, so please refer to the policies specific to your reservation. These can be found during the booking process and in your reservation confirmation email.
One night deposit will be charged at time of booking. The balance should be paid upon arrival. During Peak times and depending on your reservation, the total of your rate may be charged.
Reservations are guaranteed with a valid credit card at the time of booking. We’ll ask you to verify the payment details upon check-in and a confirmation of your booking will be sent automatically after making the reservation.
Fully refundable if canceled at least 3 days prior to arrival. Otherwise we charge the deposit paid as a penalty. This policy may vary depending on the season. Please review the deposit and cancellation policies that appear on your booking confirmation.
