Q. 
How can I make a reservation?
A. 
There are three main ways to book a room on Hyatt.com:
1. Use the "Quick Rates / Availability" function located on our home page. Select a country and city associated with your destination along with the arrival date, departure date, # of adults, # of kids, and # of rooms then click the "Go" button.
OR
2. Select "Make A Reservation" listed under the main navigation titled "Rates/Reservation".
OR
3. Use the "Hotel Search" to find a specific hotel associated with your destination. In the drop down menu titled "Hotel Quick Links" select "Book A Room".
Q. 
Are there any restrictions on reserving a room in other countries?
A. 
Reservations can be made at all Hyatt Hotels including properties located outside the United States.
Q. 
Where can I find descriptions of rooms?
A. 
Room descriptions are located on each Hyatt Hotel web site. Use the Hotel Search feature to locate a particular Hyatt Hotel web site. The list of Hyatt Hotel's returned from your Hotel Search will provide a link titled "Visit Hotel Site". Click on this link to find detailed information on each Hyatt Hotel.
  • To find room descriptions for Hyatt web site's located in the United States, Canada, and Caribbean select "Rooms In Detail" located under the "Rooms & Amenities" title.
  • To find room descriptions for Hyatt web site's located at our International destinations select the "Accommodations" title.
Q. 
What is the room rate? What taxes and/or additional charges apply?
A. 
The listing of available rooms at the destination you have selected includes a description of each room and the room's daily rate an asterisk will appear next to the Daily Rate if additional rate changes apply during the length of your stay. Once you have decided which room you would like to reserve, click on "Reserve room" to proceed with making a reservation. You will be brought to a page that includes a "Reservation Details" section. The Reservation Details section includes the tax percentage as well as links to the Guarantee Policy (i.e. whether a credit card deposit is required), Rate Information, and Cancellation Information. Also included will be a Rate Breakdown, indicating the rate changes during the dates you have selected. For rooms with rate changes, it is recommended that you call the hotel property directly, for any additional details regarding your rate. Note that rates displayed do not include charges for Special Requests. You should contact the destination at which you are staying for confirmation of charges for Special Requests.
Q. 
Can I book my corporate rates online?
A. 
Corporate rates may be booked online by inputting a corporate account number. The corporate account number can be entered by following the below steps:
1. Click on "Make A Reservation" from the main navigation and enter the required information in Step 1 of the reservation process Click on "continue" for a list of Hotels in the requested destination.
2. Click on "view/select additional rates" under the Hotel listing in "Step 2" of the reservation process. The next page will allow you to enter your corporate account number in the "Group/Corporate Number" field.
3. Click on "Show Rates" to display availability and book a corporate rate.
Q. 
Can I book more than one room on the same reservation?
A. 
You may book up to four rooms at a time within www.hyatt.com. Be sure to select the exact number of rooms in "Step 1" of the reservation process. Click here to begin.
Q. 
How will I know whether the room I've selected is available?
A. 
Only rooms that are available will return during the reservation process. To find room availability information for a selected destination you will be requested to complete the "Check For Hotel / Room Availability" section in Step 1 of the reservation process. Step 1 will ask for your Arrival Date, Departure Date, Number of Adults, Number of Kids, and Number of Rooms. After inputting this information, click "Continue" for a list of available rooms, their rates, and options, which are available based on the criteria you input. From this list you can select to make a reservation online with your credit card.

Will I be guaranteed my room will have the bed type, view or location I prefer?
A. 
Step 3 of the on-line reservation process will allow you to select bed type, smoking preference, room location, and check in time. You may also request additional items such as rollaway beds and cribs. The "Comments" section in Step 3 of the reservation process will ensure our hotel staff is made aware of any other specific requests.
At Hyatt Hotels and resorts we are committed to accommodating our guest's room type preferences and requests. Occasionally, we receive more requests for a specific room type than we have available at a particular hotel or resort. However, in the event this occurs, we will make every effort based on availability at check-in to still meet your room preferences.

Q. 
What is Hyatt's Reservation Guarantee?
A. 
When booked on Hyatt.com and prepaid with a credit card, Hyatt will have a room reserved for you when you arrive, or will provide you, at no cost to you:
  • A free night at a comparable hotel
  • Free transportation to and from that hotel
  • One free telephone call home to advise your family where you can be reached
Q. 
Is my reservation bed type preference guaranteed by Hyatt?
A. 
This benefit is reserved for Hyatt Gold Passport® Platinum and Diamond members only and is available at Hyatt Hotels & Resorts ® worldwide except Hyatt Regency Tokyo. Hyatt Gold Passport Platinum and Diamond members will be guaranteed the bed type (i.e. king, queen, double etc.) for the room type selected at the time of reservation. If the hotel is unable to honor the bed type at check-in, members will receive 5,000 Hyatt Gold Passport bonus points and their room will be changed the next day for the requested bed type. The bed type guarantee does not apply to room upgrades. In order to qualify for the guarantee, the member’s Hyatt Gold Passport number, and bed type preference must be included on the reservation. Reservations made through Meeting Planners, travel agents, and wholesalers must include this information in order to be included in the guarantee. The guarantee is not valid on reservations booked through third party websites such as, but not limited to, Expedia, Priceline, and Hotels.com. A Platinum or Diamond member who makes a reservation on the same day he/she plans to arrive at the hotel, or who walks in to a hotel without a reservation is not eligible to receive the guarantee. The maximum benefit is 5000 Hyatt Gold Passport bonus points per room, per stay regardless of the number of people in the room. Guarantee only applies to the member’s room; regardless of the number of rooms for which the member pays. If a member believes that compensation is due with respect to the bed type guarantee, he/she must request payment of the compensation while still a guest at the hotel, prior to checking out. Failure to request such payment prior to check out will result in a complete waiver of any right to receive such compensation. Limited bed types may be available during certain high demand periods or special events. Bed type guarantees do not apply to AmeriSuites, Hyatt Place or Hyatt Summerfield Suites. Bed type guarantees do not apply to Hyatt Grand Bed™ availability. Hyatt Grand Bed availability may vary by property. Is my reservation non-smoking room preference guaranteed by Hyatt?
A. 
Offered to all guests of Hyatt Hotels & Resorts® worldwide except Hyatt Regency Tokyo. The non-smoking guarantee is based on availability at time of reservation. If a guest requests a non-smoking room at time of reservation and a hotel is unable to honor the request at time of check-in, in the U.S. and Caribbean, the guest will receive a choice of either 5000 Hyatt Gold Passport bonus points or a USD$100 Hyatt Gift Card. In hotels outside of the U.S. and Caribbean guests will be offered their choice of either 5000 Hyatt Gold Passport bonus points or USD$50 food and beverage credit; CAD$100 in Canada. The food and beverage credit outside the U.S., Caribbean and Canada will be the equivalent of USD$50 food and beverage credit in local currency. No change will be given if full credit is not used. In order to qualify for the guarantee, the guest’s non-smoking preference must be included with the reservation. Reservations made through Meeting Planners, travel agents, and wholesalers must include the non-smoking preference in order to be included in the guarantee. The guarantee is not valid on reservations booked through third party websites such as, but not limited to, Expedia, Priceline, and Hotels.com. Q. 
How old must I be to reserve a room?
A. 
Generally, the minimum age to reserve a guestroom at Hyatt is 21 years old, however this age may vary from hotel to hotel. Please check the specific policy of the hotel you plan to visit. A person of the minimum age requirement must be present at check-in time and become a registered guest in the room.
Q. 
Can I pay for another guest's room (a friend, family member, co-worker etc) with my credit card?
A. 
Yes, you may pay for another guest's room with your credit card. Simply access and fill out our Hyatt Credit Card Authorization Form, sign it and fax it to the hotel along with a photocopy of the front and back of the signed credit card. You will find the hotel fax number automatically populates on the form when you select a hotel. We require customers submit this form for their own credit card protection.
Q. 
What is a third party credit card authorization?
A. 
Credit card authorization forms are used if the guest holding the reservation is not paying for the room. For a third party individual to pay for a room, the third party must complete the Hyatt Credit Card Authorization Form, sign it and fax it to the hotel along with a photocopy of the front and back of the signed credit card.
Q. 
Is it necessary for me to send a credit card authorization for multiple rooms at the same hotel being billed to the same credit card?
A. 
No, you only need to send one credit card authorization form.
Q. 
I don’t see Hyatt Summerfield or Hyatt Place hotels listed as a drop down hotel on the form?
A. 
At this time, Hyatt Summerfield Suites and Hyatt Place properties do not accept the Hyatt Credit Card Authorization Form. You will need to contact the hotels directly. Contact information can be found on the property websites.
Q. 
I am getting an error message that tells me I cannot save the form to my PC?
A. 
To protect your credit card information, we have not enabled this form to save your information.
Q. 
I cannot get the third party credit card authorization form to display on Hyatt.com?
A.

Q. 
What type of identification will the guest be required to present at check-in if a third party is paying for the guest room?
A. 
The guest will be required to present a valid photo identification at check-in.
Q. 
Can I email the completed third party credit card authorization to the hotel?
A. 
Unfortunately no. In the interest of protecting your personal credit card information, we can only accept the Hyatt Credit Card Authorization Form via fax. Sending credit card information by email is not a secure method of transmission.
Q. 
How do I know if the hotel received my authorization form?
A. 
Your fax machine should provide a date and time stamp that indicates when the fax was received by the hotel. If you have any concerns regarding the status of the authorization form, please contact the hotel directly.
