MANAGEMENT TRAINING PROGRAM

CATERING

Approximate length - 5 months
  • 9-10 week rotation through various departments of the hotel
  • 12-week concentration in Catering
The Corporate Catering/Convention Services Management Training Program provides a comprehensive, rotational training schedule for individuals with an interest in the Catering/C.S. function of hospitality, specifically those who ultimately wish to pursue Associate Director and Director of Catering or Convention Services positions within the hotel. The training program will include a rotational schedule through Accounting/Finance, Engineering, Human Resources, Rooms and Food & Beverage, and Sales in addition to the concentration spent directly in the Catering & Convention Services departments. Trainees will complete Guest Relations training, Catering and Sales training, function book, and computer skills training.
Performance Feedback & Compensation
Catering & Convention Services Trainees will participate in formal midpoint and final performance reviews based on feedback from individual departments, and conducted by the Director of Human Resources. Trainees also receive an initial salary increase upon successful completion of the program and subsequent promotion into their first entry-level Catering/C.S. management position.
