The white pillars of Union Station speak of Dallas' grand history. Built from 1914 -1916, the station became a commercial and transportation center of the Southwest with as many as 80 trains arriving and departing daily. A gateway to the world during the Golden Era of rail travel, millions bustled past the white columns and graceful arches to crowded ticket windows and a new destination.
Today, Grand Hall at Union Station serves as an enchanted setting for Dallas weddings. This historic setting accommodates up to 700 guests. Arched windows and doors open onto the Loggia, which overlooks downtown Dallas. Vaulted 40-foot ceilings house original antique chandeliers.
Also located at Union Station, Pullman Room accommodates up to 250 guests and has a view of the glittering landmarks, Hyatt Regency Dallas and Reunion Tower.
Union Station's preservation and landmark significance are assured. Over the years, the building has been restored to 1916 vintage in keeping with its history. It is included in the National Register of Historic Places, and has been designated a Recorded Texas Historic Landmark as well as a city of Dallas Historic Landmark.
