Hyatt Regency Long Beach Recognized with the Coveted AAA Four Diamond Award
JUNE 5, 2013 (LONG BEACH, CALIF.) -- Hyatt Regency Long Beach was recently honored with the distinguished Four Diamond Rating by the Automobile Club of Southern California (AAA), where fewer than five percent of nearly 31,000 properties (Approved by AAA) have achieved this prominent designation.
This achievement recognizes the Hyatt Regency Long Beach as a premier establishment highly-regarded by AAA’s professional inspectors, the hospitality industry and more than 53 million AAA members. AAA identifies a Four Diamond Rating as “refined, stylish with upscale physical attributes, extensive amenities and high degree of hospitality, service and attention to detail.”
Blending marks from AAA members and inspectors, the Hyatt Regency Long Beach’s appraisal resulted from a recent evaluation where ratings incorporated member expectations regarding hotel fees and recognized emerging shifts in design trends. The hotel was also rated on personalized and creative approaches to enhancing guest comfort, satisfaction and experience. In addition, AAA inspectors followed a stringent guideline assessment of open and active lobby areas, dramatic headboards, wood and laminate flooring options and the increased use of glass, marble and stone. Amenities such as sustainable and allergy-free products, expanded fitness options and technology trends and devices were also rated.
“We are excited and honored to be recognized with the Four Diamond Award by AAA,” said Hyatt Regency Long Beach General Manager Stephen D’Agostino. “This outstanding rating is a tribute to our entire staff’s investment, dedication and thought that goes into the guest experience.”
“We are very proud of the Hyatt Regency Long Beach for earning this impressive award,” said Long Beach Convention & Visitors Bureau President & CEO, Steve Goodling. “This accolade is continuing proof that Long Beach is fast-achieving its goal of becoming Southern California’s premiere destination.”
The Hyatt Regency Long Beach’s recognition will be reflected in AAA’s digital media and print travel publications, specifically the upcoming edition of the Southern California Tour Book guide.
